Why you need to start taking advantage of coconut oil! It’s AMAZING!

Coconut oil might well be one of the most versatile supplements out there and most are unaware of its powerful benefits!  Coconut oil consists mostly of MCT’s, medium chain triglycerides(or saturated fats). MCTs are small enough and easily burned up by the liver for energy, and the best part do not spike your insulin levels.  MCTs actually boost your metabolism and help your body use fat for energy, as opposed to storing it, so it can actually help you become more lean. But wait a second! I thought saturated fats were bad?

The thing is, all fats are not created equal and MCT’s are the good kind(formed naturally, not chemically altered by the process of hydrogenation) and provide your body with one of the best forms of fuel.

It may be a shock to you that consuming all this saturated fats have a multitude of health benefits such as:

**Boosting thyroid

**Improving heart health

**Increasing metabolism

**Improving brain function

**Promoting lean body and weight loss if necessary

**Supporting immune system and function

**Anti aging properties

You can consume it, moisturize with it, use it as a conditioner and even apply it to cuts and bruises to speed up the healing process.

So whats the secrete behind coconut oil? Well nearly 50% of coconut oil is made of a type rarely found in nature called, lauric acid.  Your body converts this lauric acid into monolaurin, which has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-protozoa properties.

Coconut oil has actually been shown to help optimize body weight, which can dramatically reduce your risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. Besides improving weight loss, boosting your metabolic rate will improve your energy levels, accelerate healing and even improve your overall immune function.

And many studies have shown that MCTs can enhance physical or athletic performance.

And finally, as we have already discussed, coconut oil is incedibly good for your heart. The truth is this: it is unsaturated fats, high sugar consumption and processed foods, not the naturally occurring saturated fats, that cause heart disease!

So how can I use it and how much?

Start out by replacing all your cooking oils(extra virgin olive oil, canola oil, vegetable oil) and butter with coconut oil.  Try mixing a tablespoon in with your coffee in the morning, talk about energy boost!, or just eat it raw, if your up for it :) !

Try and consume at least 2 tablespoons a day, and you can repeat this 2-4 times every day for great results.

COCONUT OIL IS TRULY AN AMAZING NATURAL SUPPLEMENT THAT EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE.  here are a few others talking about it!
